The Pasadena Japanese Cultural Institute (PJCI) exists to support the development of Japanese cultural activities and organizations in the greater Pasadena community. The purpose of the organization is to promote the awareness of and the appreciation for Japanese culture.

REEL NIKKEI STORIES
A Nikkei Family Legacy Project

REEL NIKKEI STORIES is a project of the Japanese Cultural and Community Center of Northern California (JCCCNC) designed to teach young Nikkei about Japanese American history by empowering them with the confidence, the training and the tools to interview, permanently document and share the untold stories of their Nisei relatives. REEL NIKKEI STORIES offers training toolkits, workshops and a website to assist individuals interested in collecting their families’ oral histories.
