In 1948, Hokubei Mainichi, Inc. was established in San Francisco to meet the needs of the Japanese and the Japanese American communities and to provide a much needed information resource as a daily publication. The Hokubei Mainichi Newspaper publishes in both English and Japanese five days/week on world, national and local news of the Japanese and Japanese American community.
