The mission of the East Bay Rising Suns Basketball Organization is to form competetitive level boys and girls basketball teams of different grades to compete with other top level Asian basketball organizations throughout the state. The Rising Suns embodies many East Bay organizations, coaches, supporters and players. Each year the Rising Suns host their own tournament in the East Bay and invite other Asian teams from all over California.
REEL NIKKEI STORIES A Nikkei Family Legacy Project
REEL NIKKEI STORIES is a project of the Japanese Cultural and Community Center of Northern California (JCCCNC) designed to teach young Nikkei about Japanese American history by empowering them with the confidence, the training and the tools to interview, permanently document and share the untold stories of their Nisei relatives. REEL NIKKEI STORIES offers training toolkits, workshops and a website to assist individuals interested in collecting their families’ oral histories.
