The Japanese American Citizens League (JACL), the nation’s oldest and largest Asian American civil rights organization, is a membership-based organization whose mission is to secure and maintain the human and civil rights of Americans of Japanese ancestry and others victimized by injustice. A Nikkei Family Legacy Project

REEL NIKKEI STORIES is a project of the Japanese Cultural and Community Center of Northern California (JCCCNC) designed to teach young Nikkei about Japanese American history by empowering them with the confidence, the training and the tools to interview, permanently document and share the untold stories of their Nisei relatives. REEL NIKKEI STORIES offers training toolkits, workshops and a website to assist individuals interested in collecting their families’ oral histories.
