Diamond Way Buddhist Centers USA consists of 32 Buddhist centers and groups, which are a part of an international network of more than 500 meditation centers in the Karma Kagyu tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. These centers developed through a grass roots movement of lay people, have a democratic structure and function through unpaid, voluntary work on the basis of idealism and friendship. They are not abstract institutions but friendly places where all interested in Buddhism can meet to learn and meditate, share experience and development, actively participate in the work which makes everything possible. The members share the responsibility for guiding meditations, answering questions and giving teachings. V.
