The mission of Kimochi, Inc. is to provide a continuum of culturally sensitive programs and services to all seniors, with a focus on the Japanese American and Japanese speaking community and their families to preserve their dignity and independence. Programs include information and referral assistance, senior center activities, health and consumer education seminars, hot lunches, home delivered meals, social services, in-home support services, transportation, adult social day care and a 24-hour residential and respite care program. A Nikkei Family Legacy Project

REEL NIKKEI STORIES is a project of the Japanese Cultural and Community Center of Northern California (JCCCNC) designed to teach young Nikkei about Japanese American history by empowering them with the confidence, the training and the tools to interview, permanently document and share the untold stories of their Nisei relatives. REEL NIKKEI STORIES offers training toolkits, workshops and a website to assist individuals interested in collecting their families’ oral histories.
